Default Guy hit my Lex while moving his darn furniture!!! =(

Sunday morning this guy parked his truck next to my is250 at my apartment complex so he could load his truck with a mattress and bed frame. The bed frame accidentally hit the side of my passenger door and made a deep nick, and my side mirror got a little bruising, and the windshield panel got a small dent & painy mark, which is not very noticeable unless you run your finger over it. I was nearly in tears...okay, i really was in tears.
I'm just glad the guy left a note on my windshield and was very honest with the whole incident. I already got 1 quote from this auto body shop in San Bruno, who specializes in Porches and luxury cars. Tomorrow i am going to take it to another body shop for the second quote, mainly for the insurance companies satisfaction of having 2 quotes. The quote at International Body Shop in sb quoted me at $1700, OR $900 if i just fixed the mirror bruise and the door nick.
Here are some pictures of the damage. I've been told the pictures make it look worse than it really is, but either way it still sux

Ouch, that sucks. At least he was good enough to leave you a note. As I'm sure many would've just left. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Ugh, so sorry to see this. I would totally freak out if something like that happened to me. It's amazing that the guy actually left a note though. Hope it all works out!

Sad that dude has to fork up $1700 for his carelessness For me its hard to make someone pay for an accident when they are so honest, but hey its a car... and a new one at that.

Sorry about the damage, I know it hurts to get a first one on your new car.

And to leave contact info was a bonus, people don't do that nowadays, you are very lucky. Hopefully it will be fixed real soon.

Glad to see/hear that there are still honest people out there. Hopefully the IS gets fixed ASAP and it will be close to good as new.

Thanx everyone. Yeah, i was thankful he left me a note. If he didnt i would have hunted him down..no joke. He's one of my neighbors friends, so i would have gone door to door asking for him until i found him. I remembered seeing the truck parked next to my car that morning and saw that they were loading furniture. I was actually getting ready to leave for work, and i looked out my patio and saw this woman look inside and kinda touch my window (thought maybe she was checkin her reflection..lol),and so i thought well maybe i'll just wait a minute until they leave, since it looked like they were about to leave. If only i went out to my car when i did then i could have been face to face with him. I know it was an accident, but u still gotta be careful or else you're gonna pay. When i called the guy i thanked him for being honest and leaving me a note and he was very nice about it. He said he was hit once in a parking lot and the guy whoever hit him didnt' leave any contact info.

Monday i will be dropping her off at the shop to get fixed. I hope i get a cool rental car, lol.
