Not that you NEED helmets, Auto cross is very safe since you are only racing against the clock and the worst you can do is knock down some cones.
Helmets are mandatory.

They will have loaner helmets available. Keep in my, lots of people have used these helmets. I suggest you borrow an open face helmet if getting a loaner helmet.

You can also purchase new helmets from a vendor who is usually there.

As mentioned, you need to bring:

Valid, current driver's license
Helmet -- if you have one. Motorcycle helmet is fine. Loaners are available
Driving gloves -- this is optional
Sunscreen
Wide brim hat
Jacket -- it might be sunny, but it can get windy and cold
Folding chairs
Blue painter's tape -- so car won't get marked up by the cones you hit.
Air compressor -- to pump up your tires so they're not rolling over. I can explain this later.
Tire pressure gauge
No missing lug nuts
Tires must not show cords

You need to attend the Mandatory drivers meeting. We've had 2 course workers get hit by out of control cars in separate events. Both got hit running away from out of control cars. Just freak accidents.

I can try to answer any other questions or concerns. Just post them on here.

-Ryan

I will join if I break in F before then. I have just 107 miles on the speedometer. 800 more to go before I launch it. If I cannot break it in then I will atleast come there to check out the cars and the drives. I used to do lot's of track and autocross in my subie. This is my first real wheal drive so it should be fun.

Aww.. you can drive back on Monday.....

Please post here or PM me if you want to come!! I need to make sure that we have enough cars that want to run in order for us to have OUR OWN LEXUS RUN GROUP!!!!! How cool would that be?!!!

Its a good opportunity to put all that suspension and mod work to good use and find out what you car can really do!!
The worst that can happen is that you hit a few cones!!

Even if you don't want to run, come out and spectate, take pix, and come hang out with the crew for dinner at Monterrey.

I cannot make it as I have managed to partially rupture my Achilles tendon on right foot. Will be in a cast for 3 weeks and then the doc will tell me what to do next. Sucks big-time as I cannot drive the car as well.

It's a drive, but if anybody wants to see a NorCalUFO autox ahead of the meet, there is an autox this Sunday, Feb. 27.

I'll be there spectating before I go to work.

PearlIS250,

The actual meet is on March 20. You can preview a NorCal UFO autox this Sunday, Feb. 27.

It's free to spectate!

Are you telling me after installing the 27 or so braces under your car you're not even going to track it?
