Default car broken into on Sat in SF - need any help

Hi guys,

I thought I would post it in regional forum, since it is so geographically appropriate. I hope that admins will let it stay here. I was visiting California with my gf this past week, and just four hours before the plane decided to ride the cable car in SF. Parked my car, and went away for an hour or so. Came back - window broken, stuff gone from the trunk. It happened on Sat. night between 7pm and 8pm on Hyde and Bay.

I had two Gucci duffle bags, a black Targus backpack and a Samsonite roller suitcase stolen. I will pay $5,000 reward for return of the stuff.
It was mainly clothes (handbags, shoes etc), but also some jewelry and a women's Rolex watch.
Also, 13" Apple laptop that had a lot (2.5 years worth) of homework, family pictures, college graduation pictures. Also, about 3000 pictures from California alone (this was our first trip).
So many mistakes were made that led to this, but its gone now and I am trying to see what can be done.

I understand that this is a long shot, but if anyone by any chance heard or hears anything, saw or sees anything, or even HAS WAYS to find out anything about it, I would be willing to fly over to SF any day and pay $5,000 reward for the stolen stuff.

my email is adilka@gmail.com

also, I created a facebook page with that info hoping to get as many people as possible to look at it, so if you have a lot of friends on facebook in sf area and wouldn't mind sending them a message with a link - I would be very thankful.

Facebook page was not found.

Sorry about the theft, this is awful you having your vacation ruined just hours before heading home. I suggest going on Craigslist and see if someone is selling any of your stuff.

Perhaps if you see it listed one of us can inquire about it for you.

Micaiah, thanks for looking. I changed the page - i dont know what happened - I re-created the page. Can you please forward it to anyone you know in the area and ask them to perhaps forward to their friends.

As for craigslist - thats what SF police suggested too, but I haven't seen anything yet. I so much wish that it came up, and I would just offer them the reward for it.

Just keep looking constant on CL and perhaps eBay.

The crooks will sell the stuff quick within a week or 2.

Sorry to hear about it...

Anyone else who reads, please remember to keep all items hidden from view. Also, park in an area that you are comfortable with. If you notice that someone is staring at you while you put your valuables in the trunk, then try to change parking.

My buddy got is windows smashed on his Mercedez because he left his wallet and iPod on the console in plain view. He parked on the driveway of his house. Thieves are out in full force during slow economy. They need the cash and know that police has cutbacks in the budget.
