I can't believe this conversation is happening! I got a Civic for my first car! He can't choose a BMW for his first car. That's crazy. Let him learn the value of a dollar and earn a few before he gets something that nice!!

I had a BMW for my first car and loved it. But Siu, just tell your son if he wants one then he better start working. I worked so hard for my Lex. Makes me appreciate her THAT MUCH more because i bought her all on my own
But good luck

I'm not buying him a car, no way. I have a bicycle he can borrow and that's about as much as I can do.

I always say, though. If you're gonna dream, might as well dream BIG! Lol.

Thanks for letting me vent everyone.

Maybe when you bring out your 300 to a meet, I'll bring them both.
although the IS300 is an older model now, it can still look nice and clean if modded tastefully

you should have your hubby bring out the IS300 next time...Esther, Boswell, and I will entertain him and your son, if he comes out:

Albert, her husband Stan was out there at the Pleasanton meet where this pic was taken. He just lays low.

I got a BMW as my first car when I was 17 as a graduation present. It's been lightly modded, nothing major, however fast forward 7 years...I'm sick of my BMW now. This is why I'm looking to get a IS350.

Don't get me wrong, BMWs ARE NICE, but the maintenance, repairs, and reliability factors just suck. Just had about $2500 worth of maintenance done on the car, not fun! I've been a long time BMW owner, now is just the time to head back to JDM!

LOL

To me most GTG meets are more social than anything else and there is no mod requirement in order to enjoy our company. Now if by witnessing all these fixed up cars gives you the mod bug, well make sure you enjoy it for yourself and not just for others.

BTW, you don't want to see my list of house mods

I miss being in Norcal! I'm coming back soon! Sounds like you will have quite a fun time arguing! As a teenage Lexus owner myself, it feels very classy to be rollin in a Lex
