Default Coliseum Lexus of Oakland follow up

Had to go in for the 50k minor service. Actually I'm in the waiting room writing this. Martin Sanchez was my service consultant today. He said its going to run me about $202 for the service after tax and after the $25 discount from a minor service. (total $189 before tax)

Also, came in for an ailgnment but he said it would cost me $175 so I decided not to. I've been driving for the last year with pulling to the right and a slightly angled steering wheel so I guess I can deal with it for a while.

He also told me my GS was recalled for the engine thing again(2nd recall to fix a problem from the first recall lol). He was excited to fill up my tank after seeing that, however I just pumped a full tank right before I went to the dealership! How unfortunate...I could have saved $70!

Anyways, he said he added balance and rotate 4 tires on top of the minor service. It says its already included so I don't know what that was about haha. Also, I'm not sure how that will effect my tires seeing as I just got them 3k miles ago(michelin pilot sport a/s).

What do you guys think about $175 for an alignment? I know its the dealership so its going to be steep.

As I was leaving Martin handed me his business card with the words "Fill up tank for BLA that was not done" written on the back. How awesome is that!! So I still get my fill tank of gas! Thanks Martin!!

Nice to hear you had a good experience there. I'll be bringing my car there soon for the 2 recalls and spark plug change.

+1 for Coliseum Lexus.

I think at other shops, alignment is < $100, so it's pretty steep.

Glad u guys had a good experiences there, cause i have been there a few times and was not happy with the service. I have just gone there for parts not actual service on my car.

I went in for a door clip for my exterior passenger door handle(which i had bought one from putnam lexus in redwood city for less then $4). The lady at the parts desk said would be $13!! So i told her no thnx, then i needed 2 bottles ATF, which were $13 each also...so I took those not realizing how over priced it was. a few days later I called putnam lexus and THE SAME ATF was about $5!!! WOW MORE THAN HALF THE PRICE JUST FOR GOING TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BAY??! I then returned the original 2 that i got from Coliseum lexus and because I paid with my visa debit card the cashier said she would have to send the return to the modesto office then they would mail me a check but would take about 2 weeks. I waited over 3 weeks for a check and still nothing...I called and talked to the cashier and she said the paper work had just been returned to her that day(ya likely story) then she said I would get an electronic return to my account that same day...then still took another 3-4 days to get my money back...needless to say I will not b returning there for parts or service.

Not in the market for a car but saw an is350 f-sport in usb at colesium and walked away with it. When I went down last time to get my 350 serviced they were excellent. Love that place I wish they were closer or I was closer.

I'm going to have to try this place. I didn't know that one of our mods works there. I usually take the long drive to Fremont but sometimes just thinking of the drive makes me put off the trip for a couple of days.

I absolutely refuse to go the dealer 15 mins from me.
