My friend got pull over today for tinted windows on 880 N toward Oakland. She had 22%fonts 12% rears. And I had mine done a week ago 32% fronts 22% rears! Anyone got pulled over when their windows roll down? cos' i heard cops might make up roll it up and give you ticket!

anything tinted up front is illegal. If the cops want, they can make you roll them up.

i got caught twice! - and only for tints!

took it out after the second cop cited me for "car unsafe to drive" and told me that it would be a moving violation if i got caught again with tints

My front windows are lightly tinted hasn't been too much of a problem for me. But ya, officially in CA you cant tint your front windows at all

also another heads up, a cop told me that any aftermarket exhaust is illegal too

I've gotten a ticket for my front windows before. I had them taken off. They were 20% up front. Also... Not too long ago, I got pulled over for my f-sport exhaust; cop thought it was aftermarket. I told him it's a factory option. He still told me it was too loud, but let me off and told me to change it.

Correct me if I'm wrong I think CA allow 70% on the fronts! I guess we just need to be California my friend had her for 6 years and this is the first time she got pull over.

You are wrong. No front windsheild nor front side windows tint is legal in CA.

The tint that comes on the window from factory is legal that's it.... If you add anything it's to much

No, legally in Cali you can have a 70% tint on the front windows and you are allowed to have a maximum of a 7" strip on the upper portion of the windshield

^ I hear factory tint tends to be bout 70% though...so if you're adding anything, it'll definitely go over the limit.
