Default Lexus of Putnam under investigation?

I went to renew my expired tags (never got a renewal notice) and the DMV said something was wrong and made some phone calls in the back.

About 30 mins later the manager comes back to tell me they are under investigation.

I freaked out. "My car????" I asked
She said no, it was the dealership.
She didn't know the reasons why though.

So has anyone experienced this that bought from this dealership?

She couldve siply meant they made a mistake with paperwork or something. DMV reps sometimes over exaggerate.

I assumed that.
They did make a couple mistakes with the paperwork and took me about 2 months to get the title.

They originally gave the title to Toyota but I paid the car in full so they had to get it back to give to me. So when I told the lady I actually had the pink slip, that wasn't the answer she expected. So maybe it is bad paperwork.

But she did say that the dealership is (assuming currently) under investigation. But I got my late fee waived!

I work at Putnam Lexus and talked to the general manager about this, and he said that the dealership is not under investigation. It must be a mix up.

Wouldn't that always be the general managers answer? After all, they wouldnt want the general public to find out cuz then it would affect they're sales

I bought my car from there since I know Joe Putnam and his brothers, but haven't been back since. Aside from the battery dying during my test drive, it was a good experience.

Mariano, you'd probably like one of their sales associates... I think her name is Gina, latina. Maybe you should stop by.
