If there's anyone doing the dyno with cutouts I'm interested to see what the difference is closed vs. open. Preferably on a GS4.
JD, my car is probably closest to this as I have a servo controlled butterfly inside my muffler. You would of heard the open vs closed version last year when we had the exhaust show off.
I used to have full straight pipe for a short period, but it was obnoxiously loud and without back pressure, the car was a dog and ran like a honda with a coffee can exhaust.
Ooo. Can't wait to see this. Sign yourself up glen! Haha.
Ok OK
GS400
Blown Vortec V2-SQ, DEI Cryo Spray, S-Max Intercooler, Emanage, custom cat back 2 1/4 exhaust with Patriot vara flow mufflers, x-pipe, Headers, Dragon Torque Convertor, Valve body mod, Carbonetics LSD, 295/25-20 Michelins on 20x11 HREs just for BOS.
Since I'll be busy helping with BOS staff duties throughout the day, I will probably run my car first thing in the morning.
So people interested in seeing my car run should head straight to the Dyno location at 10am sharp !
Most likely its gonna be a DynaPack Portable Dyno. It hooks up to your hub so you will have to dismount your wheels.
Jonny, I don't know what it is, but it's not a DynaPack. You don't have to take off the wheels. They have a ramp to drive the car up to the rollers that are about 2 feet off the ground. It was a pretty clean set up, with nice ramps.
I will find out info on this dyno from the vendor and update when I find out.

The dyno was used at John209s meet last week. I can tell you I ran my daughters car on this dyno last week and she had mods reported by Dinan to increase the power by about 10 HP. When we ran on this dyno the numbers came up very close to stock rating + 10HP.
I've run my car on a DynaPack and a DynoJet within 24 hours of each other and they reported my power within 5 HP of each other. This new dyno is just one more data point for me to asses my cars power, so I don't see why you wouldn't want to run your car. HP numbers vary even on the same brand dyno. There are a lot of variables and not all of them are easy to control. In past dynos we have managed to achieve a 20+ HP swing in measurement, by tweeking environmental factors.
