Sorry to hear.

Did you have the OEM alarm on? It should of triggered when they open the door. Maybe you weren't home but just wanted to understand why you wouldn't of heard the alarm.

If the theives are smart, they would of climbed into the window without opening the door, so I know the OEM alarm is far from perfect, but I'm just thinking out loud how this happened and what could you have done do prevent it.

BTW

Sorry to say that the steering wheel club is very easy to remove by taking a cordless jig saw and making one cut into the steering wheel. I've seen it cut with just a handheld saw blade as well.

I hate seeing things like this. It makes me sad that people in this world don't know what it's like to actually work for something and be proud because if they did, they wouldn't be stealing others hard earned possessions. Sorry to hear about this

Yeah, the tint holds most of the broken glass together when shattered... happened to me back in highschool 13+ years ago!

Sucks big time I feel your pain. Same exact thing happened to me a few years back like 2 weeks after I had my deck installed. Luckily you had your passenger side windows tinted (it helps keep everything together); mines wasn’t so there was glass everywhere, took a while to get all the little pieces of glass cleaned out. My neighbor woke me up and spooked the thieves so they took off running when I came to my car. They didn’t have enough time to completely remove the deck so I got lucky but still having to deal with all the damages was just as painful.

Like Glen said the OEM alarm isn’t the best, got myself a Viper security system after. I think I’m still traumatized by the event because whenever I hear my Viper key fob chirp I always check on my car.

SOrry to hear that man...

Unfortunately, thieves know what they want and they always seek out the nicest car. Modded luxury car = gold mine. They know there's got to be some goody inside.

You may want to check craigslist and ebay if the guy tries to post it up for sale.

This sucks. I feel your pain. I just got robbed like last month. And I've had my front and rear windshields smashed. Tint holds together amazingly though I have to admit. Karma I'd the only thing writing can hope for.
