UPGRADE! new member/owner
just wanted to intro. myself and say hellooooooooooooooooooo.
I am Bay Area native.
&
a new and proud owner of a MT IS300
ex-civic hatch owner
now to a 02' graphite grey(?) IS300.
how i acquired this car was thru a dealership in the SF found on google. i was searching for another hatchback, RSX, or wrx2.5. i wanted something sporty and track-able. ive been eyeing the IS300 since it came out along with the RSX but never really had the ***** to sell my hatch since it was my first car AND out of my price range. Long story short, i bought the car for 5800 OUT THE DOOR, Originally priced at $5981. new tires, oil change, and some other replacements that i forgot. 1 owner, SF driven, so there are license plate dents and scratches on rear bumper. and a couple dents on the front and rear end (hence the price being so low). immaculate black leather/suede interior , engine STRONG. at 138k miles, i am truly happy with this car overall. So much to learn coming from a Honda to a Lexus/Toyota.
As far as plans with the car in the future,
One of the first things i plan on doing is getting a good suspension that i can take to Tahoe and possibly track for fun? maybe a short shifter cuz this **** is HIGH as****, haha.
Power-wise, as of now, wanting a couple bolt-ons. nothing serious just yet. (prices for aftermarket parts are :whine: , coming from a Honda to a Lexus).
Exterior, i just added my roof rack that was from my civic for now. wanting some good nice deep dished rims(suggestions?). replace hood/F bumper, R fender(anybody selling?).
other than that, this will be a long journey for me and this car.
Just wanted to introduce my car to the forum.
ps. any shops out here that we can buy any aftermarket parts from? Honda stores are everywhere out here.

Welcome to CL and congrats on the new ride. I'm in Vallejo and used to live in Fairield. Check out Lexus Evolution.....You'll see the most Lexus' in one place and meet the owners to ask questions.
