Default Need help re-installing replica spoiler

Hi all,
Got my ebay replica oem spoiler on last week, but just saw today that the edges are coming off. I must have taped it on incorrectly. I' ve read others had much success with just double sided tape. I even used 10lb 3M tape. Im afraid it may fall off eventually. May someone help me re-installing or direct me to a shop? Located in Sf/peninsula. Thanks guys

You are referring to the replica OEM trunk spoiler, correct?

If you don't plan to use any screws installing the OEM spoiler, than 3M tape would be your best bet. Its pretty simple, just make sure both surfaces are wiped clean before install.

Don't take it to a shop, they will charge you an arm and a leg for something you can do yourself. Good luck OP.

Yup. The replica oem trunk spoiler. Ive wiped clean and dry the surface prior to installing but still came off. Was hoping someone with experience can help with the install, but ill try again.

Cleaning the trunk very well and apply new 3M tape onto the spoiler. Press and hold it while heating it with a hair dryer, that way the 3M tape will melt a little and stick better onto the trunk

Screws or no screws? Just use heat gun to heat up an inch or two at a time and start using floss to pry it through. You might have to double or even triple the floss depending on how tough it is. If it still wouldn't come off, (I don't really recommend this, but use as a last resort) use a plastic putty knife and scrape it in. Shouldn't be that hard since it is the oem thin one.
