The final head count for dinner reservations was submitted to the restaurant yesterday. BUT we will do our best to see if we can add an extra seat and squeeze you in. For future FnRR events. Please confirm by the cutoff time posted in order for the venue to make accurate accommodations for everyone.
See you in a few hours.

Next FnRR Meet...
FnRR May - 5/3/13
Thinking about jumping over to Peninsula Area for this one.
San Mateo - Burlingame - Millbrae - San Bruno - South San Francisco
Anyone have suggestions for restaurant location?

Millbrae - Broadway Bistro, tons of parking in the rear ... at the other end of the downtown area is a pizza place (red brick) ... there is a boba place and froyo next door for dessert. Tons of parking (No one parks in that office depot lot )
San Bruno - Chilies/Red Red Robin (Parking might be a little tough at these locations)

San Mateo wise there is the counter and TGI Fridays at Hillsdale with tons of parking - same with Red Robin at Bridgepoint. Downtown SM has TONS of places, but IDK about parking lol... its usually pretty busy,.

I was thinking:

or
http://www.yelp.com/biz/campo-pizzeria-palo-alto-2
Since they're both downtown locations, I don't think they'll fit the parking requirement, but I like that it's at least got good food! I haven't been to B Street, so I can't comment on its restaurant size, etc, but Campo should be big enough to accommodate how ever many of us come.

Arya has been a Yelp goodie and has entertainment on Friday nights. However, the website says that there's a $30/person rate, so I'd call and ask if they are stringent on that and what happens if we don't hit $30/person but want to eat there on Friday night.
Doing a Yelp search brings me these suggestions (filtered for private lot, takes reservations, good for groups, good for dinner)

Exactly what I was thinking haha. Reminds me of my colleague from Chicago asking for restaurant recommendations in San Francisco and someone seriously suggested Ruth's Chris.
Millbrae might be a good city as it tends to have more available parking, and there's a BART and Caltrain station nearby. I don't know that area well enough to suggest specific restaurants though.

I was looking around SFO area wanting to get a water front restaurant, but im not familiar with any except for the elephant bar just south of SFO. I did see there is a K1 Speed go karts right after SFO exit. Seems like a good place to go to after dinner if we decide on some thing in that vicinity.

We've gone to Elephant Bar several times in the past, but if we get a large group AGAIN, it may be a problem booking seats and since we were short $50+ on our bill at Kayenyama, I would try to avoid that from happening again, so I would prefer we go El Torito next door. They looked easier to accomodate larger groups.
The K1 karting across the freeway is a nice option. Probably should play it by ear and see if there is interest after dinner.

Shabu House is cool.. but the parking absolutely sucks. All street parking.
Also in Burlingame is Mokutanya. It's an ultra modern Japanese Yakitori and Ramen spot. They have a private lot that can accomodate about 15-18 cars. GTR guys did a meet there a year ago or so. I know the owners so most likely i can get us a discount and split the checks into smaller groups.
