i just got a 2020 NX, and i dont have carplay. Can i update it somehow, to be able for carplay?

I have a 2020NX. All of the 2020NXs come standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In order to use any of these, you will need to install the same corresponding software (app) on your handheld device (i.e. cell phone).

Apple CarPlay should already be installed in your vehicle. Once you've installed the app on your cell phone, you will need to configure it so that it can communicate properly with your cell phone.

 

One point to make about carplay in the 2020 NX300..... it is WIRED only. You have to use a cable plugged into the USB jack in the center console. It does not work via BLUETOOTH. Newer models have wireless connectivity for carplay

 

This is only half true. There were 2020 cars that were manufactured in 2019 and behaves like a 2019. I believe the cut off manufactured date is around October 2019. These cars come with wired Carplay but not wired Android Auto (I have such a 2020 NX300). The ones built after that cutoff date has both wired Carplay and Android Auto (but not wireless).

But you are right either way in that if the OP has a "2020" NX300 regardless of manufacture date, it should come with wired Carplay.
