Hello everyone,

I am seeking help with retrofitting parking sensors to my NX(from 2016 year) which was equipped only with rear camera(one of basic trim levels in Europe). What I already did is:
- I have checked that appropriate connector exists behind glove box in my car
- I ordered parking sensors module with part number 89340-78010 which should work with NX models before facelift
- Module was plugged into car

Now I am expecting to see errors on my dash because of missing sensors in bumper but there is no error. I have checked n Techstream that parking sensor module is not recognised on CAN-BUS. In theory everything should work just after connecting module and potential problems that I see are as follows:
- wrong parking sensor module, wrong part number
- broken parking sensor module
- missing parking sensor on/off button on panel near left knee
- something needs to be registered in Techstream ?
- other elements are missing ?

I will appreciate all the help, maybe someone already tried retrofitting something to their NX and could point me what I am doing wrong?

I made some significant progress today!!!

I finally got it working, now I can see LEXUS park assist in car settings and I can see a lot of errors in Techstream







My car was missing can-bus gateway ECU with part number 89111-48150 that is needed for communication with parking sensors ECU, for pre face-lift cars it needs to have white plug(not black like majority of modules on ebay). I got it from Lithuanian scrapyard "Ovoko" which also sells parts on ebay.
I found it by checking purpose of empty white plug next to empty black plug(which is used for parking ECU). After plugging in everything together there was no error on dash by LEXUS Park Assist setting apperaed in car settings.

Now I need to wait for cable harness and ultrasonic sensors from Japanese shop Amayama.com. It's actually cheaper to order it new from Japan than to buy used in my country.
I also need to check why gateway is complaining about cruise control, my car is equipped with cruise control.

Hi @conrado i have same issue with parking sensors all fronts sensor not working. Can ou contact with me I have feq questions. I from PL as well
