Default No navigation for a 2017 Lexus NX 200T

Hi, I recently purchased a 2017 Lexus NXT with extremely low miles for the age and it had a lot of options and features that I was looking for. One thing that I was not expecting was for the GPS to not work. I tried to figure out on my own because I kept getting a error message that stated to download an app but the app didn’t work. I called the Lexus technology specialist at the dealer and they said unfortunately, there is no GPS available for my year model because it used to work with an app and they no longer continue the app, not disclosed to me at the time I bought the car and the technician was basically like … just use your phone. That doesn’t work for me. Does anyone else have a solution or what they did to fix this issue?

Your vehicle originally used an App called Lexus Scout GPS: https://www.scoutgpslink.com/lexus/ for GPS. Lexus has disconnected support for the App.

But, do not fear, you can still add Navigation to your vehicle using Android Auto: https://gromaudio.com/vline/index.html

Unfortunately, V-Line Grom is a very expensive option (about $1000 USD), but it works quite well. If you use a professional installer, the price is only marginally higher.

I have used a Garmin GPS for years. Can transfer to different cars, Take on a trip, train, boat, plane or hiking. No subscription and free map upgrades.
I would never pay for any update in a car. Get a Garmin for $170 with lifetime mao upgrades,
