The NX is small.. it has almost the same cabin space as the 2014 i2350 FSport.
There is no way three child car seats will fit in the back.
I was excited when the first photos were revealed for the NX because I am a father of three ( have a newborn) and I was hoping this would be more spacious.
I guess it is pointless for me to get the NX as that isn't an upgrade for more space in the back seats.. might have to consider the GS or the RX FSport.

Where did you get the NX300h 9.9s number? I'm not saying that it is false, but the 0-62 mph figure is pretty discouraging. I cannot categorize this as a spirited and youthful "new design" approach. Below 9s would have been more acceptable.
According to Motortrend, the 2014 Corolla can do 0-60 mph in 9.7s. There's really no class when even a Toyota Corolla can (literally) drag race this car.

This is comparable to European diesels in the same class, with better fuel consumption.
Turbo is obviously where it is at if you want speed, which is also what Lexus USA has said earlier - that they expect americans to buy >80% Turbo.

The segment is generally referred to as Luxury Compact CUV with the key word being compact. Everything in the segment is going to be on the small side vs. mid sized and larger models.

The NX is 5.5 inches shorter than the RX. But rear legroom is only 0.4-inch shorter and luggage space surrenders just 0.8 inch from the RX cargo bay, Chief Engineer Takeaki Kato said.

The rear seat space in my parent's 2013 RAV4 is massively larger than the rear seat in my 3IS, though I do not think it's wide enough for 3 car seats. That is fairly tight even in an RX.

Anyone know anything about the GS300h? It's not available in the US, but I saw it is pretty sluggish as well. Maybe that 9.9 is legit for the NX.

The tandem to and fro, in the GS300h’s case, is between Toyota’s unremarkable 178bhp 2.5-litre four-pot and a 141bhp electric motor, but, as ever, it’s the planetary gear set in the hybrid’s ingenious transaxle that deals out and ultimately defines the delivery. Seamlessly refined on the one hand, intractably remote on the other; the result is quiet, efficient and unashamedly charm free.
A combined output of 220bhp makes for a claimed 0-62mph time of 9.2 seconds - slower than most of its direct rivals, although just about swift enough to make the GS feel brisk when needs be. As with the IS, much pedal pushing is required to access real gusto; 85 per cent of the accelerator’s travel is unjoined-up calf flexor, having little or nothing to do with your expectations.
What the 300h would prefer, and where it’s best - and, to be fair, why you’ll have bought it - is the conscientious extraction of miles from its petrol tank and battery capacity. Endeavour to keep the car in Eco (one of five drive settings in the F Sport), or better yet, EV mode, and breeze along with it, and it’ll evaporate corporate stress as readily as anything.

I also compared numbers from Lexus Russia, which has ES300h (no other European countries have ES).
0-62 : 8.5
MPG: 5.4l/100km
So we can see what has happened there - they have optimized fuel consumption and reduced acceleration. For instance, Camry vs Rav4 with same engine, Camry is both faster and gets better mpg (+4 MPG HYW), as it should be since it is sedan. So obviously, with NX, they focused on MPG since it is developed with Europe and Asia in mind, where they have CO2 (MPG) based taxes... and under 10s is pretty good enough for European driver, most sold diesel SUVs are around those numbers.
For anyone needing more speed, Turbo is going to be much faster and get good MPG too.

I'm willing to bet the majority of Lexus customers could care less about 0-60 times. Luxury, comfort, reliability and mpgs are more important. I had a CT for awhile and it performed admirably for me and got close to 40mpg!

I spent an entire day with a 2015 Lexus NX300h
Hi all,
I work at a Lexus Dealership in North Carolina and 2 days ago I got an opportunity to have all access to the NX300h. I also have a YouTube channel - mainly focused on Lexus - so I jumped at the chance to crawl all around it with camera in hand. I also talked the Lexus folks into taking me on a ride along...BTW, some of you may be familiar with Saabkyle04. He was along with me and he will be posting his video on Friday! You should check out his NX300h video tomorrow! Thanks for watching & I hope you enjoy it!

I confirm that Italy is available in the GS 300h and covers the 0-100 km / h 9.2 sec. while the IS 300h (much lighter), the 0-100 km / h 8.3 Sec
