Yeah...interior looks much better from that pic (still hate the afterthought Nav screen).
My son in law's '13 Audi S8 has a pop up nav.Hard to get use to the look of it but it's ok and not a deal breaker..Though I do prefer the built in NAV.
What's with all the black trim? Black rear view mirrors, black wheel well cladding, black around the taillights, black around the rear window. Is this an F sport thing?
Black rear view mirrors are really ugly.
I assume that what appears black around the tail lights is actually a smoked effect in the lens, not black plastic.
I don't mind the black around the hatch window...makes the back end appear a little less bulky, probably. The black trim around the wheel wells was expected, IMO.
That black trim around the side view mirrors looks pretty odd though...
I'm looking very forward to seeing the specs on both powertrains. I think the NX may be the first time that a Lexus vehicle has debuted two brand new engines at the same time...granted, the 2.5L Hybrid has been available on the IS 300h for a while, just not in the States.
I'm hoping for ~220 hp from the 300h and ~230 hp from the 200t.
It would be the same powertrain as the ES300h right? While I'm glad that it's a proven system, I was kind of hoping for something newer.
^I think this is expected to be Lexus' newer generation 2.5L hybrid with direct injection - the same unit that debuted in the LF-CC concept, and is now in the IS 300h. It's somewhat related to the powertrain in the ES 300h, but newer and more advanced. More info here: http://lexusenthusiast.com/2012/09/2...hybrid-engine/
Was hoping they would incorporate a shelf in the dash like the new Highlander but I don't see one. Best new addition Toyota has come up with.
I have to agree. That shelf is a thing of genius. Luxury makes could adopt this, put some nice non slip material in there and some nice adjustable ambient lighting

Oh no, NuLuxe is great, best in the industry vs say MBtex and even BMW Dakota leather if you ask me, butter soft and wears well. My point was geared towards console plastics.
it does bring another point - in today's internet world, everyone expects everything to be new all the time.... while typical major engine design lasts at least 2 vehicle generations (with updates).
