+1 Look at the 2015 Toyota Camry that was announced yesterday - it has many amenities some luxury cars don't necessarily have - LED headlights (low and high beam), BSM, RCTA, etc. Luxury brand is separated from regular brand by heritage and experience though it is embarrassing to see a Kia in North America had power folding mirrors where we still need to beg Lexus to include this as a standard equipment for most of their cars. Good credit to Kia for making this 1980 (compared to Asia and European markets) technology widely available.
About where it should be given the engine size and class it's competing in
not blaming lexus, but seems weak to me as the 1999 RX i bought had a 220HP V6 i believe. now all we get is a turbo 4 banger with slightly more power. thanks govts.
But no courtesy light, no sunglass holder, and no rear heated seats. Is this even a Luxury car?
when you say courtesy light, are you referring to a light that comes on when the engine goes off / doors open? if so, i'd be shocked if the nx didn't have this. or are you talking about puddle lights on the underside of the side mirrors?
as for sunglass holder - i'd bet 99% of people who have this feature NEVER use it. as for heated rear seats, there's not that many vehicles period that have this feature. and again, i expect you are in a tiny, tiny minority for whom this feature is important.
i don't even remember seeing a vehicle with heated rear seats except a hyundai/kia maybe and high end flagship luxury vehicles.
