What do you think the starting price of the NX will be?

New model and a totally new line would be cheap like the CT hybrid was costing 29k when it first came out. That is of course totally different for the new model line RC due to it being a similar segment of the IS but a coupe. The NX would probably cost around 32k-34k I believe. Not to mention it's a turbo engine that Lexus is testing, so they would want as much customers in the beginning as possible therefore lower price attractions. Fully loaded NX would probably be around 40k-42k. Just remember it's the cheaper version of RX. Hold on, is it a RWD or FWD?

If they even stock the fully loaded (adaptive cruise, etc) 200t I'm thinking upper $40's. Probably overlap between lesser equipped RX just like one can load up a BMW 3 series that would exceed the price of a decently optioned 5 series. Hybrid probably in the low $50's.
The biggest bugger to me is that the Lexus dealers in my area rarely stock fully loaded cars. Usually just the most popular option packages. Any specific options one would want requires ordering and that means less negotiating potential as well as uncertainty with timing vs. Any special financing or offers. I don't blame the dealers, it's just frustrating as a buyer.
I'm hoping the prices are lower but am expecting the worst.

^^^Similarly, I'm expecting "the worst case" and hoping for 1-2K cheaper - and I agree with your US figures.
In Canada, I expect a worst case of about about $53K for a (loaded) Series 2 package F-Sport AWD (HUD, PCS, LKA, AVS, etc) , and about 58K for a loaded 300h AWD (power rear seats, leather, HUD, PCS, LKA, etc) .

36,000.00 seems to be the entry point. I still having trouble wrapping my head around 50k for the hybrid loaded. Of course Lexus comes out saying the new NX only has 10% Rav4 parts - 90% new. I seriously not buying that figure. Kinda hard to prove otherwise.
It also allows them to amp prices vs RAV4 high end models.
I'm waiting till spring now until dealers get some inventory to deal with and they negotiate. I'm also interested in hearing how well the independent AWD works in the Hybrid. I imagine just fine we need it here in the Northeast.

I don't know why you wouldn't buy that figure. The cars pretty much share the basic underpinnings and that's about it.

I should have also mentioned that I expect the new RX price to go up a nice chunk for the next model release so the difference in price should be more pronounced than an NX vs. today's RX. I also believe the NX will slip into the current RX's pricing slot.
I think that won't happen until the new RX model releases but my guess is that this release is Lexus' move to copy the sedan levels and apply them to the SUV model availability.
Probably nothing earth shattering in my logic but figured I would mention it since I believe there will be less pricing overlap in the future.

I agree 100%. I think dealers will not offer many at that price though- if any- they won't sell in most areas-imho
Of course the NX will take the price point of the RX , prices only go up. Eventually the IS will take the price point of the GS too.

10% is identical to the RAV4 which would for all intents and purposes mean the same part numbers (part of the floor pan, firewall, airbags, lug nuts, TPMS, AWD hardware, and certain driver aids and electrical components as the main ones)
As for the remaining 90%, these will have all different numbers: a portion is made of modified RAV4 parts (i.e. some suspension components, 6-speed tranny, NAV/Enform/Entune, etc.) while the rest is completely engineered from the ground up or unique to the Lexus offering (i.e. entire exterior body, wheels, interior, engine, stalks, etc).

I believe pricing will be mid 30s like some articles have stated. Here are some base competitors they may need to be in the range of:

Thinking $34995 - $36995 before destination charge for the 200T Base 2 wheel drive model which will put it at the same price point as the RDX, which is being refreshed next year.
My guess is the vehicle will be $3-5k below the RX so they don't canibalize sales of their own vehicle. They will also be a few thousand above the top level RAV4 for the same reason.
For Acura: The engine today is a 6 cylinder with more power than the 200T. WIth the refresh they may put in the engine from the TLX and MDX which has a little more power and efficiency. The MPG are similar to the 200T with the current engine. The improved engine would increase the efficiency. They should be adding the pearl led headlights and the newer safety feature while increasing price $200-500.
