this is why i will have parking sensors and a backup camera on all my vehicles from now on. they make urban parking so much easier.
I have them and they didn't prevent this close call since the camera (looks mid-level to down) and the sensors detect obstacles at a lower height than the overhang I almost hit. And the third "fail-safe", the rearview mirror, did not pick it up, while the final "fail-safe", the sideview mirrors neither as well, due to the auto-tilt-down. Four fail-safe's and they all failed in this unique situation. Only luck saved me from this!
