NX price paid/ Lease

There is always room to negotiate. I just managed to get an F-Sport AWD for $4700 under MSRP. It depends on how patient you are and how eager the dealership is to sell a vehicle. It is likely I had the upper hand because this was the one F-Sport without Navigation but had Pre-collision System I wanted.

Here in Orange County, California, delivery was 30 days ago.
SRP on window sticker was $47,398.
Dealer provided fair price $44,153 according to all the pricing websites.
Used Liquid Glass today on my Silver Lining. Took about 3.5 hours, then allowed it to bake in the sun for 4 hours.
Could have purchased any car out there, but the NX was designed for my needs/wants.

Of this 160K, a good fraction (approximately 30%) went into a piece of certificate we call Certificate of Entitlement.
Only with the Certificate of Entitlement are you entitled to register the new car for road use. Now comes the best part, after parting with 160K, your car is expected to be put to end of life after 10years. An extension is permitted, provided you pay an additional sum of $$ for Certificate of Entitlement extension.
That is life in Singapore. Lower Personal Income Tax compared to the US but higher taxes on private transportation.

I assume that price is dealers price. Can you import used/new car lets say from the US or other country? How much is the importation taxes?
I can't imagine how much new Mercedes costs at this point!
Wait a minute, I know some folks from Singapore and non of them complained about such crazy prices, they owned Toyotas, Hyundai, Chevy`s.....

Anyway this is just for sharing! The base price of my NX200T is around US$35k (excluding dealer's mark up) for the local Luxury model with panaromic roof, 360 camera & navigation.

Sorry for not being clearer. It's like this : base cost x 2.4 + COE + dealer's profit.
In my case it's $35k * 2.4 + $42k + $32k = $158k
Actual cost of the car is $35k
The govt taxes a further $35k x 1.4 + $42k
The dealer adds another $32k as is profits
We've gotten used to it already, housing and cars are way above the global average.
