Invoice to you is not dealer cost. True dealer cost for a certain vehicle, depends on alot more than just that single transaction, volume bonuses, inventory overhead, dealer support cash. No one besides the dealership knows exactly what each car will end up costing until you get a look at the books.

Note with the advent of "easy-buying" services available online, everyone throws and knows the
invoice. Hence why alot of mfgs have bumped invoice prices to reflect a less bigger gap between mfg and invoice. For example the Lexus RX 2016 has an invoice price of 95% of MSRP, but last gen was a bit more.

I agree , and another little tidbit I have picked up recently is that leasing companies are getting 2k below invoice from the dealers.

Thanks Coolsaber and Brook41, I was just wondering how Lisalisa got 13.5%off the MSRP and or $3,500 below invoice. So basically invoice posted by site such as KBB is not absolute and should not be used as cost.

For a just launched vehicle, paying invoice price is excellent, since every single dealer wants to go sticker. For the NX which is in its 2nd MY, if you pay invoice, its at the higher end of the spectrum. 10%+ is where you should be at or more.

KBB, Edmunds, all these websites are now run by the advertising dollars of dealerships, mfgs aka everyone in the car selling business. Yes its a good stepping stone for your initial research, but do not take it as the one stop shop (unless you dont mind spending a couple of extra dollars). Heck I have never seen their used car trade in values be quoted as accurate. Its still all about research and personal negotiations. All the car buying services are just a way to capitalize on those in the market who are "lazy" to negotiate due to the benefit of time savings, scared to be duped by the dealership, and maybe honesty and trust in a third party.

Anyone have any dealer suggestions for the south-western PA area? I have had 0 luck getting anyone to call me back from the dealership just south of Pittsburgh and the one north of Pittsburgh gave me a price of $44,750 on a NX F Sport AWD with an MSRP of $46, 220.

Default South florida dealer?

I'm looking for a South Florida dealer who has been very flexible with lease pricing. I actually have what I think is a solid deal from a lease broker - zero down and $338 plus tax for a base NX200t, but if someone thinks I can improve this, I would love to have the name of another salesman or dealership. The pricing reflects the $1,000 college rebate and 7 MSD's!

Looking for opinions on the price I'm getting.

2016 NX200t F-sport FWD (Ultra White/Rioja Red)
MSRP: $44600
Selling price: $39,500 - $1000 recent grad = $38,500

Lease: 36months/12K miles/$0 drive-off/$487.28 monthly

Think I could do better?

I just have a fews questions. What is included in the MSRP of $44,600? What is the residual value of leasing? Is it open or close? Do you have trade-in? You can tell whether you have a good deal or not by examing these questions. Good luck!

Premium F-sport, summer tires, auto-dimming mirrors, Navigation, BSM, Intuitive Park Assist, power back door, Qi wireless charger, cargo mat, illuminated door sill, rear bumper protector.

No trade-in. This is all the info I was sent from the dealer so far.

The total purchase price of your $44,600 MSRP with tax, title, licence, and interest of 1.9% for 60 months is roughly $42,000 in Houston. If you take the monthly lease multiply by 36 months, add the CLOSE residual value and it comes close to this number, then you have a great deal to me. A little bit higher than $42,000 is still okay because lease price is usually higher than purchase price. However, it should have CLOSE, not OPEN residual value... IMHO. And I can't speak for other parts of the country.
