I would like to see what everyone thinks of this deal and if i should jump on it. I emailed a dealership and told them I wanted the best OTD price. The vehicle he sent back had the following:

2019 Lexus NX F Sport
Exterior Color: Ultra White
Interior Color: Circuit Red
Engine: Engine: 2.0L 16V DOHC 4-Cylinder w/VVT-iW -inc: twin-scroll turbocharger w/intercooler
Transmission Type: Auto-6 spd

TRIPLE-BEAM LED HDLMPS W/AFS
ELECTROCHROMIC INSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR
F SPORT PACKAGE W/SUMMER TIRES
NAVIGATION SYSTEM
PARKING ASSIST
POWER REAR DOOR W/KICK SENSOR
F SPORT PREMIUM PACKAGE
ACCESSORY PACKAGE

The Drive Out price is :44,898.70

i told him this isnt the color I wanted and he said that if i agreed to the price and put a deposit down he would get the color i want (UBM with red interior). Is this a good deal?

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

He wouldnt tell me. It was from an email i sent to the internet manager asking for their best price and this is what i received in return. It is an out the door price so everything is included.

I don't like when they do that. Makes it hard to determine how much the dealer is discounting. Are there any incentives on the NX right now?

This should help you get a general idea on prices in your area.

Assuming no trade, this is a good deal. I estimate this is roughly a 12% discount + 7% estimated tax rate.
MSRP: 47233
Discount: -5700 (12%)
7% tax est.: 3306
OTD 44839

Watch the age on dealer inventories via cargurus.com . They are growing / aging likely due to increased interest rates. Plus keep in mind that Toyota Mo Co's fiscal year ends MAR 31 so I'm sure they are going to want to wheel and deal even more so in the coming weeks.

I actually do have a trade but I hadn't informed them yet. I planned on trqditr in my is250 f sport but was debating on the trade vs selling to carmax. I know I could make more via private sell especially considering the low mileage but I don't want to deal with the hassle.

The dealer gave me $500 more than Carmax. He said they were just going to sell it to another dealer. They gave me $10,500. Sure enough, a few days later I saw it listed at a Volkswagen dealer for $13,800.

Yes! Always before you trade a car in, always get it appraised at CarMax to get a baseline on minimum. But be sure that when trading it in on new and you see the figures that they aren't just pushing money around to where you want it (i.e. less on the new and more on your trade) Don't fall for that tactic.
Always, always, always. Go into the dealership and tell them that you are wanting a car, no trade. Then after you beat them down, throw the trade into the mix. They will likely give you bottom dollar on it because they already got the new to their bottom dollar. Then just sit back and wait until the end of the month

That's exactly how I planned to handle it. No need to mix trade with purchase. They only do it to move numbers around to conduse you. Like their favorite trick.....the infamous 4 square. LMAO. Anyone who allows a salesman to even start filling in the quadrants was lost before they entered the dealership.

Working with the dealer now on getting a 2019 NX. Wife has leased 2 CT200h's and her lease is due in a couple months but we qualify for early turn in.

Really want a low $400-430 payment with a sign and drive. Looks like some people secured this on here.

Deal the dealer is telling me is $399 before taxes and fees (typically $25-35 extra), 35/10k, $3999 down with an MSRP of $42,433. Residual is .52 and waiting on the MF.

don't put any money down other than MSDs. for this MSRP you should be targeting 399 with drive offs only (if you were in CA I would tell you to push for zero out of pocket and 399)
