The mud flaps made a big difference here in Hawaii. We have occasional showers here throughout the year and sometimes just enough to absorb all the dirt on the asphalt and splash up with the tires spinning. Before I had them on, the sides of the NX were always getting splashes from the road with dirty water, now with the mudflaps on, I get less on the sides of the car. Doesn't look that bad on the NX. But, I guess I am biased, since I have always bought the Mudflaps for every one of my vehicles, including my work van that I don't even own......

 

My flaps from Sewell arrived today. I'll be putting them on tomorrow.

Installed! It took about half an hour. The hardest part was figuring out how to get the push-pins out! And drilling into a new car is a little unnerving, but luckily it's into non-visible plastic.

Does anyone have the instructions for install? I ordered a set from Sewell and they arrived without any and their website is no longer active!

Thanks so much, I could kick myself for not downloading them when I had a chance. I ordered the flaps on the last day of sewell's site operation. When they came, there was a sticker on the box saying contact your dealer for the instructions. I'am sure the dealer would be happy to share that with me after buying them from someone else!

 

Rdcrow, i am thinking of installing them my self too, if and when you have time would you mind posting some more pics from the rear. I also have the fsport and I want to see how the mud flaps look on the car in combination with the tires ... does it look sporty or does it look weird ? do the wheels look narrow compare to the mud flaps ? apart from the practical part, i also care about the looks..

Just to share my experience.
I found that you really do not need to drill at all. Just push the supplied metal clips onto the plastic trim, make sure they are in the right place by sighting the hole in the clip through a properly placed mudguard's hole, the using a bit of elbow grease, and a screw driver, drive the supplied self tapping screw through the plastic trim into the "bite" side of the metal clip.

My words above probably don't make much sense right off the hook, but when you are in the middle of the installation, you will know what I mean. In short - no need to drill, the self tapping screws can go through the soft plastic easily.
