What are your thoughts on the feel of the car while driving? Say, compared to an IS or ES (assuming you've test drove or ridden in one of those)? Generally I've always felt Lexus to be a smooth ride even in the sporty IS, but I have not really spent much time in the RX to feel a Lexus SUV's comfort

Haven't driven an ES since I got one as a loaner quite a few years ago so can't really comment on the ES. I finally drove an IS a few months ago and really liked it.
The NX is not a sport sedan by any stretch but the best way to describe would be in between the IS and RX. It definitely is an SUV but drives closer to a sedan. It won't corner on a dime but it is much more nimble than the RX.
More sporty than the Rx for sure though.

I was impressed by the Nuluxe "bamboo" material... felt like leather. The sales person said it will last longer than leather...
I'm not sure if that's entirely correct, but it definitely felt nice.
