The sunroof opens fine with the roof racks. Even with the bike racks attached there is no problem.

However, the sunroof will hit an attached roof pod. The instructions warn not to open the sunroof if you have a pod attsched.

I picked up the lexus roof rack from the dealer today. They price matched an ebay listing so I got em for $300+tax

Originally $430 I was told.

Fair price imho. Gonna install them tomorrow along with my thule sidearm bike racks.

Decided to go with the Thule Aeroblade Edge crossbars in the event that I want to sell them later on. Is it just me or do the Thule's look lower than the stock crossbars? I can still close and open my sunroof, no problem but not sure if that'll be the same once I install the bike mount.

I like the lower profile look versus the OEM crossbars. I would have preferred the rails be higher and have crossbars that were less meaty on the ends.

Any wind noise from the Thule crossbars?

Got up to 60mph and no wind noise at all. However, I took a second look and there is literally no extra clearance from the sunroof to the crossbars when lowering the sunroof. As such, any attachments I go with with have to slide into the Thule Aeroblade Edge Crossbars versus wrapping around them (if you're familiar with the Aeroblade Edge then you'll know what I'm talking about). That pretty much limits my bike rack option to only the Thule Sprint T-Track and nothing else. However, I'm okay with that since I prefer the lower profile.

Could you let me know what the item/model nubmer is and where you got this? I was going to buy the Lexus OEM Roof Rack but I like the lower profile of the Thule Aeroblade Edge.

Thanks

You need the 7602 and 7601 crossbars then the 4060 Fit Kit. The Fit Kit is made specifically for Lexus nx200t and runs about $99. The two crossbars are $~220 each but I used my REI discount and got them for 20% off. Reason I went with Thule is the lower profile and also because I can always sell the crossbars if I get tired of them. Can't really resell the Lexus rack except to another Lexus nx200t owner.

Another option is the Rockymounts euro pitchfork/jetline. It mounts using the t-channel and is much more low profile than the thule. I have two of their bike racks on the roof of my highlander hybrid and they are solid. About to get another pair to mount to the aeroblades on our NX.
