KJL. The shallowest height in the trunk is 25.5" or 65cm (at the seatbelt ceiling latch). For more details on the dimensions, see here:

I'll see if I can load up a couple of suitcases later and take a pic.

Here are some scenario pics below. With the hatch closed, you can fit 4 suitcases - 3 medium and 1 large (not shown as I only have 3) with room still for duffel bags and other gear. ![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Medium Beige Suitcase: 8 x 18 x 27”
Medium Black Suitcase: 10 x 18 x 27”
Large Black Suitcase: 10 x 21 x 32”
NOTE: Rear seat inclined for a real-use "normal" comfortable seating position. If seats are upright, you can squeeze in another 3-4 inches behind the top of the seat towards the back hatch.

Sorry I'm no help on the dimensions, but I can warn you to be very, very careful when you test this. It doesn't take much to break a, in my case a front windshield, when there is a very small pressure point such as a corner.
I laid a 2 x 10 piece of lumber on the front dash of my current SUV and tried to close the tail gate...crack. One corner of the lumber was evidently against the front windshield...didn't fit by less than in inch, but cost me a new windshield. Guess its kind of like those emergency glass breakers that have a fine point.
