I wouldn't get a luxury car without these safety features after using them: Blind Spot Monitor, backup camera, cross traffic alert (tells you when something/someone is about to get hit by you when backing out).
If I couldn't afford it with these features, I'd get a non-luxury vehicle that has those.
And yes, I'm not a youngster anymore. Safety has crept up on my list of requirements these days.

Also, I don't see anything about Bluetooth but isn't that a required feature now for all new cars?
EDIT: Nvm, found Bluetooth info here:

I had this issue trying to fit a forward facing booster/car seat, a simple booster seat, and a teen in the back.
I had a Graco backless booster and a Graco Nautilus. The poor teenager had to sit in the middle, and the arrangement of the middle seat belt is just weird and it's just a squeeze. I replaced the Graco Nautilus with a Diono R120 carseat which is one of the few that doesn't have arms, which makes it a LOT easier for the person next to it. The Diono also has a nice and easy latch connector. Next, I replaced the Graco backless with a BubbleBum booster seat. Again, it's backless and armless.
Makes it a lot easier to fit the teen.
I don't know how old the child is that needs the car seat in the middle, but I would consider the Diono. The older models (R100, R120 are narrow at the bottom and top. The newer ones are narrow at the bottom and a little wider at the top.

Can we really custom order the NX and just opt for some of the safety features and maybe heating steering because of the cold winter months here in Toronto?
TIA.

You can get a car seat in the middle, but with the way car seats are now with arms and cupholders, they just take up a lot of width. Plus, it's fixed width, unlike someone who might shift over a little to allow you to buckle up before shifting back. If you shove a standard car seat in the middle, the person sitting behind the driver will have a tough time buckling up.
