It appears that a higher age demographic is being attracted beyond Lexus age group target. I've noticed and had post discussions in another forum...most are 40+ and empty nesters like myself.

Poll results shows 39% less than 40 years old, with the bulk of the rest between 40 and 50 years old. Sure beats the average Lexus ES type age demographics.

Actually yesterday's poll results showed 29% vice 39% are less than 40 years old. It's at 30% today and still not indicative of their target group(s). The overall largest age group is the 40-50 age group, not just the bulk of the over 30s categories.

While you also have to consider the percentages that said over 50, the statement was about the target demographic being under 40, and as today, it is now well over 41%. not 30%

Look at the percentages of people in their 20's and the percentages of people in their 30's, add them up and then compare to how many are in their 40's.

Now, I'm going to have to source a dash for the HUD, buy a wiring harness, and spend the money to retrofit (which also includes the time that you'll find my NX in pieces all over my driveway while I do it).
I would have happily spent the extra money to have it right from the factory that way.

All, keep in mind this poll is relative to users of CL which is inherently slightly skewed to the "younger" "car enthusiast" user base. It may not be an actual representation of the real world demographics, though nonetheless the results are interesting and plausible considering Lexus' target demographic. Let's keep the votes coming in and when official stats from Lexus are eventually known, we'll compare for accuracy!

This poll is representative of the target audience for CL and the distribution of the target that own an NX. While it may not be fully representative of age distribution in the wild, it is still a reflection that it is heavily skewed towards 30"s and 40's age bracket. The same poll in the ES or RX forums would probably skew towards 40's and 50's age brackets.
Interesting as NX ownership age bracket seems to approximate IS ownership age bracket, where as RX ownership seems to approximate ES age bracket.

Turning 50 this June. I think the NX has the best of both worlds going for it. It is sporty with an aggressive design that the younger generations are drawn to as well as an elegant sophistication that older generations are drawn to.
Then you have people like my wife and I who appreciate the luxury, a quiet and nice supple ride, the increased height of the NX, and the technology, but still occasionally like to crank the tunes and pin it. And besides, 60 is the new 40 so that means I am really only 30.
