Hi:

In Canada, without Enform , can Siri be engaged from the vehicle control in any way? If I press and hold the button on the iPhone (5S), Siri will engage through the car's audio, but I'm wondering if it can be done via vehicle control.

Thanks in advance.

Could you not enable the "Hey Siri" option on the phone?

BTW, if you have trouble with this option, a "how to" discussion can be found here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6541851

Thank you for the tip. I will give it a go and report back soon.

Cheers!

I enabled the "hey siri" function but it does still not want to work over Bluetooth in the vehicle.

If the voice commands in the NX worked better it wouldn't be an issue to get Siri working remotely in the car.

I'm really surprised there is not more of an uproar over really bad voice recognition in the NX.

I was surprised that there wasn't a "training mode" for the VR.

"Hey Siri" only works if the phone is plugged in and charging. As far as using "Siri Eyes Free", you hold the off hook button for a couple of seconds to activate it. This allows you to use Siri through the car. Being in Canada though, I'm not sure it's equipped with that. It's not tied in to Enform.

Smile Enform

This is the only thing that I would like to have in my NX

Too bad, because it is probably just a cellular line problem in Canada

Love everything else in the NX, great CUV

Must be a Canadian thing, eh? Holding the off hook only gives an error beep for me. I have the phone in the charger, etc.

I must have misunderstood which is the off versus on button. Silly me so it works when I hold down the button which shows the phone handset in a horizontal position. Sigh, I'm getting there. Thanks for the help!!
