My base model didn't come with the HomeLink mirror. Would it be possible to replace the current mirror with the HomeLink one? When I asked the sales rep he said no, but I don't know why you wouldn't just be able to replace the mirror.

I don't know for sure, but this should be an easy add for you or the service department of you choose to use them. I've done this before on a couple cars. Check with the service manager instead of the salesman. In my experience, they don't know much...typically, I know waaaay more than they do about the cars they're selling...and I didn't put too much time into the research.

Just a note, before buying an after market homelink mirror, make sure it supports Security 2.0. The new garage door openers have it and the old mirrors don't support them. You will not be able to even program homelink. I ran into that exact issue.
Installation is fairly easy, just a couple of wires to connect and reuse existing holder.
I like the original OEM homelink mirror as it provides the status of the garage door (if it is closing or opening if in range), but that might be the feature of Security 2.0.
