Default Aftermarket amp & sub

Has anyone added an aftermarket amp & sub? I'd like to put a Pioneer or Kicker Hideaway under the passenger seat. Other than power and ground where is the remote wire ran to, and where are the speaker level inputs tapped into the factory system? Do I need a line converter or sound processor since I'll be using the factory radio? I've never added an amp to a factory system only aftermarket with rca's.

I can't even hear the sub. Just the little bass from the front speakers.

The subwoofer is more evident when listening to music from an auxiliary device (via bluetooth or USB cable), or via the CD player. Listening to radio (even XM or HD) doesn't seem to push the subwoofer as much.

Also, check your audio settings to see if the balance and fade are set properly,.

If you have SiriusXM tune to channel 42 - The Joint to check base. It's the best base station I've found.

How did you tap into the system. Is the stock AMP in the back that you connected RCA or did you just tap into the speakers wires?

I have exactly same question, as I know the stock amp on back right side above the wheel.
What did you do with stock sub, just cut the wires?
thanks

Hi
you have 2 kind of Head unit :
-the Pioneer/ML
-the Fujitsu ten

for all ,you will need a good LOC (line converter) or if you want some extra settings a DSP that accept high signal (the best seems to be the HElix series DSP with no noise instead of the Audison series)

for Both , you have to tappered to the level signal , but there is a difference :
-for the Pio , you have to take signal after the amplifier located in the rear righ trunk
-for the Fuji, you have to take signal behind the HU

i will show in a few weeks my iasca system in my Nx soon

I wanna to add a power amp to my NX.
the HU is fujitsu ten.
how to connect the HU to the newly aftermarket amp?
high level in (speaker cable) or level in( RCA)?
where to pick the relevant speaker cable or level cable?
it seems the front tweeter and woofer are driven by two independent channel.

Hi
as i said ,
you need a LOC (line Level converter ) to convert high level to low level (RCA)
you can pick up the level behind HU , or from the 6.5inch speakers as they are not a filtered ..Only the tweeters are filtered by a single cap...
Tweeter and woofer are not driven by 2 independant channels , these are the same channels
2 channels for front and 2 channels for rear, meanwhile they made 2 different cables to distinguish the hi and low?(not low ,full range) filtered cables

What amplifiers are you going to take?

Alpine MRX-F65, which is equipped with high level in.

I just open the HU but dont how to identify the level line?

it seem the speaker cable wiring arrangement is different from typical toyota
