Qi Wireless Charger - Slow Charging on S6
Hi all,
I've tried to use the Qi Wireless Charger in my Lexus NX so many times with my Galaxy S6 Edge but the built-in charger is incredibly slow and it heats my phone up to over 110°F!! Is anyone else experiencing any issues with their wireless chargers? Do I have a defective unit or does the wireless charger just suck for Lexus?
Thanks, K

I'm using Samsung S6 Edge and use the charger whenever I am driving it. So far it does heat up slightly but not something that feels too hot. Initially I did face the heat issue as I realise due to the design of the charging tray the phone has free play within the tray causing it to charge on and off.
What I did was to minimize the movement within the tray with a simple felt tape and it works like a charm. Do give it a shot and let us know.

Thanks for the pic. So, it looks like it angles the phone up just enough to keep it against the opposite side, preventing side-to-side movement. Also, what you are saying is that this movement causes the charging to stop and start with each movement, and this stopping and starting causes a hot battery, correct?

Spot on! There will still be some heat as its normal with anything using induction to charge. Once its full the charger switches to trickle charge and that is where it starts to cool down. Give it a try it works on mine.

if I leave my device on the wireless charger for over an hour i literally gain 2% charge
do you guys also notice this? I have had 3 different devices and all react the same.

We have had several iPhones on our wireless charger and it works ok, although a bit slower than our wireless chargers at home and the phone does get pretty warm. It isn’t painfully slow like you described however.
