New WALD International NX Wide Body Aero Kit... Thoughts?
Hey guys and gals, I just saw some photos of the new WALD wide body aero kit coming soon for the NX. I wanted to see what ya'll thought of it?
I know a lot of aftermarket brands don't pay too much attention to the SUV models; however, the NX platform recently changed a lot of that. Now tuners like AIMGAIN, Artisan Spirit, and now WALD are all coming together to produce some awesome parts for LEXUS SUV platforms.
Check it out and let me know what you think!
The WALD kit features a more aggressive lower front lip spoiler, side "arrow" panel, rear underskirt/diffuser, wide over fenders, and a rear gate spoiler.
I personally like the look. What are your thoughts?

Ugh....This stuff is sickening.
Those 2 red lights on the rear bumper? Is that inspired by someone's pedal bike? Or the stick on spoiler below the rear window...is that inspired by the ricer spoiler that went on the Ford Focus many years ago?
I also want to bring to attention that overall this is not an "aero" kit. Nothing on this kit would assist with downforce or lower the CoD. There are no parts to extend the panels on the undercarriage to help air slip under the car, there are no venting panels to assist with the exit of the air, and by making the car "wider" you've only increased the frontal air drag which slowed it down.
Instead of working about making it look LOWER or "slammed" or whatever the current ricer terms are, how about retrofit the current bumper to run air over the front brake calipers to assist in cooling? Or instead of stupid side skirts, offer a hood that will draw air off the front end, run it over the turbo and exit over the hood. You know...functional ideas...
Typical ricer....look fast....destroy everything that could make it fast. Congrats, you spend $10k to actually RUIN your Lexus...

LOL... Looks like most guys on here don't like it. It's weird seeing the differences between the U.S. market and international markets. We've seen a split in those that like it and those that don't. I have to say, I like the front lower lip. This one doesn't come with any side skirts but it does have this weird "arrow" panel that attaches to the side of the body to make it look like side skirts I guess. But the rear end is just too much for me. The rear gate spoiler is nice but I agree with @RXOwner, it's begging to have dirt and "leaves" collected there LOL. Overall I'm liking the comments whether good or bad.

The thing is, the NX in F Sport trim is already aggressively styled at the front with the big grille, fog lights, and silver lower lip "spoiler" while the rear sports the dual trapezoidal exhaust tips and lower valence "aero kit". Any other "add-ons" look like "add-ons" and detract from the look IMO.
However, I do like the rear spoiler from this kit.

I've noticed though that I've been liking the look of the wide over fenders on these platforms. It gives it a stout and strong look with the wide over fenders. Most of the kits with wide fenders for the NX aren't crazy wide either. They're minor over fender that go right around the edge of the fender line and it gives it more of a bold stance. It's more like an accent than a true over fender. Some don't like it and some do but I personally like that look on the NX platform.
Artisan Spirit and AIMGAIN both provide a wide fender option for the NX which looks pretty good.
They're more of a styling cue than anything so functionality wise, it probably won't make that much of a difference but it sure looks good haha.
