Default 📖 Look What I Found on my Front Seat 👀 ...

I took my three-and-a-half week old NX for a service visit yesterday and when I picked it up this evening, this was on the front seat. It's "The Lexus Story", an elegant and classy "coffee table book".

It talks about how Lexus came to be, with interviews with the scientists, designers, and engineers that brought the Lexus brand to life. It even shows the initial drawings of Lexus logos that never saw the light of day. There is even a "blueprint" of sorts of the final logo, complete with official angles (in degrees) of the elements making up the logo. Did you know the the circle around the "L" is not a true ellipse? It's a mathematical based shape.

Other topics include: "The Perfect Recall" of the LS 400 that Lexus went through; The dealerships and how they are designed; "The Lexus Covenant", etc.

The book was written in 2004, so it covers all the models up to then, including mention of the RX 400h.

Thank you Newport Lexus!
