^^^ Agree with typocl on applying the cleaner but I have similar light scratches on my IS door panel and some of the scratches remain visible albeit less.

no matter how much care i put into the car....something like this always happens. hate driving on highways because of this. pretty deep paint chip...and noticeable too especially because it's on the driver side.

Interior Plastic Scuff/Scratch - Product Suggestions?
This happened today. Minor, I know, but it's bothering me. I've been so careful with this car. Some jerk was trying to merge into the lane next to me and almost hit someone who was already in that lane, and I saw it and slammed on the brakes in fear that I would get hit. Anyway, a bag sitting on the backseat slammed into the console, and this is what happened.
I got the ResistAll, but doubt they will cover this. (Perhaps I am wrong? Anyone had any experiences with this?) Does anyone have any suggestions for products that might fix this, or at least minimize the appearance of this? I cleaned it with an interior wipe, hoping it was just a mark, and not an actual scratch/scuff, but unfortunately it is. I was hoping someone might have used something on black interior plastic that would not cause damage to the plastic, and would hopefully mask this.
Thanks in advance for your input!

Absolute a**hole
Returned to the car park after an hour at the gym to find this. No note or nothing.
Informed insurance and booked for assessment at Lexus certified repairer Wednesday.
Very upset

So sorry! Hope they get you back to normal quickly!
Looks like your headlight managed to be spared.

Thanks guys, your support is much appreciated.
I parked in a distant spot in the carpark early in the morning. It was pretty full an hour later when I returned as it was a weekend shopping day.
Someone has backed into the spot diagonally in front on the drivers side. I suspect it's a ute with tray. The leading edge of the tray has hit with concentrated force.
There is a sharp puncture point on the bumper bar with the force being directed down and back.
It's been considerable force as the drivers front panel has been pushed back and down against the drivers door. The force has also damaged the wheel arch with the rivets popping.
My biggest concern is the headlight housing which has been pushed down and rotated inwards. The right light is now pointing too far down and inwards.
Am trying to get CCTV from the car park.
The greatest problem will be getting the panel gaps right and ensuring the headlight is properly adjusted. May have to get the headlights readjusted by Lexus after repair.
Will see if insurance company covers it.
Estimating repairs ~$5000 Aus,

Definite bummer miop4000. That would make me sick, but I have seen some excellent repair work so if you get a good shop they can make it good as new.

Happened last weekend...we think. A runaway shopping cart, perhaps, because we park way out usually.
DAMN!!
My wife doesn't mind the dent so much, but hates the scrape on the plastic.
Looks like a trip to the dealer for their paint-less repair and some new plastic is in order soon...

I believe it's thinner than other Lexus that I've owned. That is why I try to park away from everyone, on the other side of the parking lot/garage.
