Ha! I was going to when I installed it, but it was late and you really don't notice them. The next time I'm feeling adventurous, I'll probably do that.

I removed mine after a few weeks. Surprisingly easy to remove.

Did you run wires for lights? I have a jet ski I would like to bring to lake and back. I would need lights for that. Bike rack not an issue.

My installation was strictly for bikes, snowboards, skis, etc., so no electrical work is required.

In your case, you may want to check out this thread. Scroll down to where they start discussing wiring (with photos, too).

Thank you so much for this write up and info. This will be the first thing I add to my NX as I have been rear ended before and have to park in the street at work so a tow hitch paired with a nice step will save my rear bumper from idiots who can't park or from a tailgater that hits me one day.

You're welcome. Be sure to post pics when you get it installed.

I don't know if it's because I purchased from AutoAnything and got an email coupon, or it's available to everyone.

22% off with code EXCLUSIVE

This DrawTite hitch comes out to $99 + tax if applicable. Free shipping.

I just purchased a hitch for the 2016 RX 350 that just joined the family. Install instructions looks a LOT easier on that than on the NX.

What's the distance from the lowest point on the hitch to the ground? Want to compare it to my factory installed hitch receiver on my 2002 RX300. I like the look of your Draw-Tite hitch, and that company has been around forever making quality trailer hitches. Thanks!

I love the Draw-Tite receiver hitch! I've had it over a year now and it's has served me well. Here are some measurements . . .

Thanks so much. I just priced one installed with wiring at $272 at LineX here in my town, and $317 at Trucks and Trailers USA in Chattanooga.
