The trailer is very stable and comfortable behind the NX. I have a class III Curt hitch installed and 7 pin wiring. Electric brakes controlled by a Tekonsha RF wireless brake controller. Also have a Reese Mini 350 weight distribution hitch. Our first tow was over 200 hilly and snowy miles. The trailer was rock steady and the hills were easy. Gas mileage sucks when the wind was up. I'm very happy with the set up.

Thanks for the post and pics. Doesn't the a pintle hook mount hang down a bit? I don't think that would make it up my steep, but short, driveway.

it does hang lower than I expected. Didn't wanna go through the hassle to ship it back to Amazon so I just kept it. Lol

i want to look for something to protect the rear but don't want those big bars. Looking for something plain and simple and won't stick out like a sore thumb. I just got rear ended the other day and I guess I can say it kinda helped. I was stopped at a red light and got rear ended by a Nissan Murano. I thought the damage would be worse but it just split the lower bumper from the upper bumper and some minor paint chipped off.

I realize this is a three year old thread but this might be relevant. I installed this on my new-to-me 2015 nx200t. I had the hardest time starting the driver side forward-most bolt which went in an open spot in the rail. This is how you start the install in all the guides I saw. I eventually got it started as someone suggested with the old bolt and eventually got the other four bolts in place. BTW, I am not a strong guy but I was able to use a floor jack to push it up there. It's a doable one-man job but you have to know a few tricks and I am all achy this morning from jockeying that 30 pound piece of metal in place. When I started torquing everything I got to that last bolt and I was using a cheater bar to get the leverage but the welded bolt inside snapped off, leaving the bolt dangling. A word of caution to anyone doing this on an older car, that hole may be rusted and may not take the bolts like mine. Clean it out as best you can and maybe even run a tap thru there. My hitch won't do any hauling so I'm not gonna repair this. I had to epoxy putty the bolt in place so it won't rattle. It's a major hassle to extract that nut from the inside thru some larger hole upstream. It will rattle around in there if you don't.

Just bought a 2018 NX. Read the manual; it cautions against installing a tow hitch unless the NX comes equipped with the tow option. I idon'thave the Munroney sticker; how do it tell if mine is so equipped?
