Look for better packaging MY 17+ in relation to th 8 speed. Lexus is super slow in changing things up, especially with the NX which is selling like hotcakes.

Turbo 4 Pot with an 8 Speed is common in rival german makes, but with Lexus insistent on using the RX F sport 8 speed Aisin made transmission Id take the 6 speed over any thing lexus comes up with it.

The q5 and x3 have 8 speed

I didn't see any complaints about that part

Have the NX00t as a loaner for the weekend...friend asked if it had a CVT because of how slow and smoothly it shifted. Idk if the 8-speed would be better, but I wish Lexus would make this 6-speed shift a little more aggressively.

I think eventually the NX will offer another transmission choice either an 8 speed or CVT. All manufacturers are going this route along with reduced weight, start/stop etc., in an effort to improve fuel efficiency.
