According to Google, more people were interested in the Lexus NX than any other premium model in 2015.

Its funny how CR calls it the worst pick (editors opinion) and NX continues to gain momentum. The 2016 is "CR Recommended". Talk about split opinions at CR. Also how can they list snug driving seat as a con. Thats the reason I like NX.

I do agree that visibility is poor on rear and even in front because of the grill. Lexus should make BSM standard in all cars or at least NX. Also provide option of front view camera like Infiniti QX50. Its BS that in this day and age, car manufacturers think adding a $60 rear view camera as standard is something to be hyped. Basic safety features in luxury brands should be standard - not something you should have to "add".

Well I'm definitely sorry to hear that. I like being one of the few. But I must prepare myself cause It's inevitable that we're going to see the NX all over the place.

Hopefully this encourages companies to start making more aftermarket parts.

At least by 2018. All cars will be required to have back up cameras as standard. Too bad that'll jack up prices as well.

So, after reading some info on this, I have a question on "linger time". I had this on my Volt. I think it was something along the lines of close to 8 seconds. Why?? Why do I need to have the camera on after I've already started forward movement? It used to drive me nuts. I would use the camera for backing up and then put the transmission in Drive and proceed forward. At that time, I wanted to see either the radio station or the nav map, but I had to wait 8 seconds. That's forever when you're waiting!

Quote from this link...
According to the rule, all vehicles manufactured on or after May 1, 2018 are required to be equipped with a rear-view camera that allows the driver to see a 10-foot-by-20-foot area directly behind the vehicle. It also included specifics on image size, response time after a car's transmission is shifted into reverse (2 seconds), a "linger time" of how long the camera is activated after shifting from reverse (between 4 and 8 seconds), and durability.
