Default What are these 2 things attached to windshield

I tried to look this up in the manual but couldn't find an explanation. Does anyone know what these 2 black boxes are used for which are attached next to the rear view mirror? Assuming one of them is for the rain sensing wipers but what would the other be used for? I've also had to attach a toll road transponder on the other side of the rear view mirror so all in, I've got 4 black things attached to my windshield which is definitely cluttered. Thanks

Does your NX have the LDA (Lane Departure Alert)? It requires a windshield-mounted sensor as well.,

^^^ Yeah, LDA/LKA camera in the middle and to the right, it's the Auto-High-Beam sensor.

The small round cover on the speaker in your pic is the auto-wiper rain sensor.

I dont have LDA but i have the one closest to the mirror as well. Could that have to do with the speed sensitive cruise control (forgot what Lexus is calling it)

My apologies, the one near the middle is the auto-high beam sensor while the one to the right is the humidity/fog detector.

The Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) has a radar behind the emblem.

The humidity/fog detector detects condensation on the windshield so the auto climate control system knows to switch to defogging mode.

LOL, I don't know how or why you have that module in the middle. Can you post a pic from the outside windshield?

EDIT. The module in the middle must be the rain-sensor for the wipers. Please tell me you have auto rain-sensing wipers?

Then, the round plastic dot on the dash is the light-sensor for auto-switching of the headlamps/interior lighting between day/night mode.

The module to the right (in the OP's photo) is the rain sensor for the wipers. Not sure what the module in the middle is. My guess is the middle module is the Auto High Beam Sensor.

In Canada, the Executive packages includes Auto High Beam, LDA w/LKA, and rain sensing wipers. There is a large piece of black trim on the inside hiding all the modules. Based on what I know, the sensors are likely as follows..

here is what it looks like on mine... not sure why it is separate module on the OP's NX..

the dash cam is a Blackvuw 650 2ch.

Lexus should really have a factory dashcam installed.

Old post already, but the solid box directly behind the mirror (NO slotted sides) is the rain sensor. I just had to make an alteration to mine, which is how I know what it is and it's identical to yours. I have a 2009 RX 350. I don't have a slotted box or anything else behind my rear view mirror.
