driving mode
Hi
was wondering which is the best mode for everyday suburban/city drive; with moderate traffic.??
I often drive 80% of the time in Eco Mode.....was wondering if this is the best mode to be in at all time, or it is best to be in normal mode?? By the way mine is a f sport 200t, rarely have i driven in sport or sport+.
Please advise, as I am looking for the ideal mode for engine maintenance under moderate traffic condition, as it doesnt say anywhere under the manual.

Drive in whatever mode you like! Car longevity doesn't depend on the mode as much as how you carry out regular scheduled maintenance, whether you drive like a bat out of hell first thing upon startup, how much you throw it around corners etc etc...

I find that on the highway normal or Eco is fine but in town, stop and go anything less the sport makes the car unresponsive. I find that Eco give 1-2 MPG gain, that's all

I use the auto-eco mode quite a bit and normal most of the time. It does get better mileage in eco mode but it does reduce performance. I don't know if one is better for the engine longevity. That's a good question.

It is interesting to me, to say the least, to purchase a $40/50 thousand auto like the NX, and not get the full benefits of the driving and handling enjoyment it offers. We all drive differently i'm certain, but to purposely drive so carefully in order to save two MPG is like straining a nat and swallowing a camel. The math shows that a car that is driven 1000 miles monthly (with gas at $2 gal), one would save $7 by obtaining 25MPG over 23MPG. BTW i'm in sport 99% of the time.

I drive it normal mode most of the time, but pop it into Sport mode when ever I want some "pop" to the drive. I used the eco mode for like 2-3 seconds & haven driven it there! WAY to whimpy, normal good for some mpgs, but mostly some power upgrade from eco, but not all out sport type power. As some one said, proper maint. & I don't think it matters for the first 100K miles!

I use Normal most of the time because Sport and especially in Sport+, the ride is way too harsh and I feel like the car is breaking my back.
I do use Sport+ on the highways because I like to have the overtaking power if I need it.
