I see these often, but wonder what is the biggest benefit of having them on your car or SUV?

How are those holding up after a couple years now... particularly the OEM jdm lexus ones? I have jdm rain guards on my subie, and my truck, love them. I'm a little off by the price on the oem lexus ones and the fact that they are double sided tape on the exterior... That just screams tacky to me. My subie as internal clips that attach to the rain guard and frame of the car. Looks really good. I think if these were half the price I'd probably dive for it. But at almost $500 with shipping that's a hard pill to swallow. I just bought and waiting for the illuminated cup holders. But at least with those it's like a cool wow factor when you turn the lights on in the car. That I could justify the price somewhat, even then it's still $100 too much...lol

Any fading/cracking or anything with the non OEM/Chinese versions of these? Chrome peeling...etc?

Yep they will fit. I'm still debating internally how to justify $500 window vents...lol
