🔆 I'm Liking the NX DRLs Better than the RX's ⚡

I think he meant that the 200t has a better and more fuel efficient engine than the 350 (I assume). Is the 2.0T's power on par with the 3.5 V6?

Lexus Champion
As for power and mileage:
NX200t AWD
235 hp @ 4800 rpm
258 lb-ft @ 1650-4000 rpm
22/28/24 mpg on premium unleaded
RX350 AWD
295 hp @ 6300 rpm
268 lb-ft @ 4700 rpm
19/26/22 mpg on regular unleaded

We have the 350 and 450h here. They don't offer the 200t on our RX's. Probably no incentive to buy the NX if they did... The only thing that kept me from getting another RX was the extra $10k+ it would have been lol (the way I wanted it, of course)

That's a shame, it's actually a pretty good runaround. And any reason there is so such thing as a RX 300h?

From what I remember about my 450h, it's essentially the exact same 350 motor with a hybrid power-train slapped in there. They just badged it 450 to signify that it technically is more powerful (in a strange way) from the base gasoline version due to the multiple gas/electric motors.
If I misunderstood the question, and you meant why aren't they using the 3.0l V6 for the hybrid version, it's simply because they stopped using that motor (In the US anyway) in 2004. When they switched to the 3.3l from the Camry/Highlander, and then the 3.5l in 2007. The 400h used the 3.3l until 2010 when the new 3RX body was launched...

Like 2.5L 4cyl with hybrid. I think that would be a good alternative to the 450h.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree on that. Having just traded from a 2013 RX 350 to the NX 300h, I don't believe the hybrid NX's power train can deliver enough power to motivate the extra weight of an RX - especially in the market the RX is competing in. In my humble opinion, it is acceptable for the NX but it would really struggle with the larger mass. The difference between our ES 300h and the NX 300h is night and day in terms of power, with about 500 pounds separating the two. I just think an RX, especially the new "supersized" one, would be painfully underpowered with that drivetrain. It is ok in the NX, especially for those of us that don't yearn for a hot rod any longer, but it would never fly in a $60K RX - at least not in the US market where "more power" is king.

Maybe if they did something crazy like a RX300ht, now THAT might be interesting Turbo boost with ultra torque from the electric motors... Now I kinda want one lol
