Fail Lexus fail
Recently had my NX returned after a new front bumper bar replacement.
Good quality of repair but has
already been returned 4 times because of the cheap front plastic fenders over the wheel arches. They needed to be removed to fit the new bumper bar.
The repair shop (Lexus preferred repairer) cannot seem to get them to stay stuck on and flush with the metal panels. The shop is highly recommended and seem competent but the problem they have is that there are no guiding rivets, clips or gap seals like other toyota products to slot the fenders neatly into place. Instead they are stuck on with a big wad of double sided sticky tape!
The fenders seem to have been an afterthought to differentiate the vehicle from a Rav4.
I've noticed the exact same cheap stuck on wheel arches are on Subaru products like the Subaru Outback and Impreza.
Seriously,
Mazda, Kia and Honda use higher quality snap-fit fittings for their wheel arches.
I love the car and will keep it for many years but am frustrated with annoying cheap details such as this.
