Named after one of my favorite martinis , the "Grey Goose", my Lexus 2015 NX 200t—sporting a Nebula Grey Pearl coat, has seen some improvements over its stock brothers and sisters out there on the road.
In just the few short months that I've owned this vehicle, I have tweaked and added features, and plan on continuing to do so.
This thread displays what I have done and—when possible—how I have done it.

This is also a living thread that will showcase some of these improvement projects as they happen in the future.
Over the coming days (weeks), I'll gradually bring this thread up-to-date will all my existing Grey Goose projects with photos and links to my original posts and videos. Stay tuned...
Okay, here's the first of many upcoming posts on this Grey Goose build thread.
My first relatively large project that I did on the Grey Goose was to install a receiver hitch.
I bought the Draw-Tite 2" Class III receiver hitch from AutoAnything.com and installed it myself in about an hour or so. I am completely satisfied with it as it is inconspicuous (doesn't stick out and is not as noticeable as on other C/SUVs).
The original thread on this (complete with step-by-step installation instructions and photos) can be viewed here.
Majority of build threads are cosmetic-related. Yours takes a different fresh approach with a focus on enhancing practicality and usability.
Hmm...interesting. I envisioned this build thread as being more for cosmetic mods (with some practicality) and that most of the existing build threads were about performance (wider tires, lower/tighter suspension, exhaust). At any rate, thanks for the thumbs-up. I think I'm going to have fun building this thread (as well as my NX)!
The next upgrade that I'm posting on this thread is when I converted the interior cargo light bulbs to LEDs. I also upgraded the visor vanity bulbs to LEDs (although not detailed in the original thread).
This next mod was born out of necessity. Like many others, I found out that when my windshield (windscreen) is cleaned from the inside, any overspray from the squirt bottle of cleaner can damage the display. Seeing that our NX nav screens are so delicate, I decided to craft a cover for it. I put this cover on whenever I get my car washed/detailed. So far, no more damage since I started using it.

Read about my ordeal and how I made the cover in this post.
In California, we have to display front license plates. On the NX, the intended method of installing the front license plate mount is to drill two holes into the front facia of the car. Not wanting to do that, I figured out a method to install the frame without drilling any holes.
