Auto-dimming side mirrors...one side gets darker...is that normal?

During night time driving I noticed recently that my passenger side mirror and my rear view mirror get darker than my driver side mirror. Is that normal? Or should I take it in to be checked out?

This is not normal, these auto darking mirrors
Start to separate inner film that makes it go into auto dimming. The mirror will need replaces. These special mirrors are very pricey. Starting at 250.00
