where did you take power for the amp?

 

From the battery. There were a set of wires from the engine bay going into the drivers side. So we took a wire hanger. Straightened it out. And pushed through. Backed it with double sided tape after.

 

That is the correct spot. U should use some wire loom and clean it up a bit.

Thank for the pics! I plan to add my sub+amp this weekend. How/where did you tap for the sub? Also, how did you remove the rear panels? Thanks!

 

Totally forgot to take pics of this part when we were working on it. But we connected it to the rear sub on the lift gate. My friendis a mechanic at Toyota so he had the tools to pop the rear panels. The panels just popped in and out. Im sure someone here can explain it. I literally just looked away then all the panels were off. lol
