Default Fog lights/Cornering lights

So I'm aware of the user and dealer only programmable features for NX, but neither talk about being able to use the fog lights without the headlights being activated. My 2014 Jeep Cherokee had this feature, perfect for, well, fog. The NX is bright and doesn't hold well in fog.

Can't turn on the fogs with just daytime running lights. Is there a way this can be done? I'm guessing my F Sport cornering lights arent meant as actual fog lamps.

On the F-Sport the cornering lights are different bulbs than the fogs, to answer one question. Running fogs with DRL is not possible with normal settings, and I don't see any custom settings for the dealer, either. In some states I've lived in, headlights must be on for fog lights to be on. I don't know how widespread that rule is.

Not to hijack this thread, but the fog lights and corning lights are different bulbs? I don't see any added light when I turn when the fog lights are on. Or do they not work when the fog lights are on? I actually really like the corning lights. Also, do they only work to a certain speed?

They are different bulbs that activate under certain conditions (if you've got the F Sport package that is) like putting the vehicle in reserve or cornering at around 20km/h

If you don't have the corner lamps then your fogs won't turn at all regardless.

Thanks for the clarification. I do have the FSport package and the cornering lights. I really like it, I just wished it worked all the time (above 20 mph), with a "auto off" feature when on coming traffic approaches. But hey now I'm dreaming.
