I have 28K on my NX and my OEM tires are nearing the thread wear indicators. I have started to research into news tires as well. I've had other OEM last 50K plus miles on other vehicles but these tires won't last nearly as long.

Didn't know the dealer would do that. Had I known... these Yokos suck. Agree both Pirelli and Michelins tires are good. I've been looking into these two as well... however my car is only 4700 miles. Got a while to go.

Both gets top ratings on Tirerack.com.
Their take on the Pirelli.
Their take on the Pirelli.
- What We Liked: The most luxurious ride and sound quality of the test.
- What We'd Improve: A big increase in wet grip is a must.
- Conclusion: A refined option for when rain is not in the forecast.
- Their take on the Michelin
- What We Liked: Good road manners and excellent wet weather performance along with good winter traction
- What We'd Improve: Not much improvement needed here
- Conclusion: This tire raises the expectation of what a Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season tire can do in wet and winter's worst weather

For those who are looking to re-tire, check with your Lexus dealer for discounts. My local dealer often runs deals on Michelin tires with free alignment and balancing that are priced lower than Costco or any other discount shops.....but they do not offer free rotation.

My oems were summer tires and since I make my way up north during the winter often I immediately changed them to all seasons after only $5k miles.
I changed them to bridgestone's ecopias. If you drive gently then I recommend these tires. They are quiet, compliant, give good over traction in different types of weather. Plus they help a bit in fuel efficiency. I put almost 50k miles on them since. They are supposed to last about 65k miles.
I may be forced to change them earlier than expected because I had an alignment problem at one point that gave me some uneven wear.

We just got our 2017 Lexus NX F-Sport and they came with the Yokohama G90's. What is wrong with the tires, and how did you have your dealship switch them? They can do that? I did not expect to get these unpopular tires. Since the car is new, I am not noticing any issues yet. I think other NX models, came with Bridgestone or MIchellins. I want tires that will be better quality and last a long time, which tires can achieve that?

For my 2015 nx200t also came with Yokohama G90's, those are bad on snow and ice (dry is good).
Before delivery may be dealer they can change ( I am not sure ). ALL OEM tires are last only 20k to 25k max.
I installed PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 ALL SEASON PLUS last month. these are smooth at bumps and much quieter road noise then Yokohama G90'
